Our Contract Works policy includes all the basics of cover alongside a number of additional benefits;
- Contract Works for annual and single projects (periods up to 3 years)
- £20m limit for works and plant
- Compliant with JCT and other joint contracts.
- Cover for DE5 Defective Design and Guarantee maintenance can be offered.
As an extension to a Commercial Combined policy, Geo Construction can quickly and competitively cover contract values up to £5m in respect of new builds, extensions and refurbishments to new and existing property in the portfolio. Higher contract values, 18 month + contracts, and Chemical and Petrochemical occupancies will all be considered on referral, giving the insured piece of mind prior to entering into works.

Chris Thomas, LLB Hons
Chris is the Senior Underwriter for Construction and Contractors’ Plant and Machinery.
With 11 years’ experience underwriting on company market, syndicate and latterly MGA platforms, Chris has gained a specialist understanding of the challenges faced by insurance buyers and capacity providers across the global insurance spectrum.
Throughout his appointments, Chris’ underwriting focus has been on construction, with a concentration of time spent writing International Liability, Contractors All Risks (CAR) and CPM.
Megan joined us in November 2017 as Underwriting Support for Contractors’ Plant and Machinery.
Her career in the insurance market started in 2013 as an assistant at Enstar Group. In November 2014 she joined Contego Underwriting as a claims adjuster.
Over the last three years, she has developed an operational understanding of the International Contractors’ Plant and Machinery book of business formerly as an international claims adjustor and more recently in an underwriting role.
